RICHES POWERTECH® is a custom switchboard manufacturer serving US and Canadian projects. We offer both build-to-print manufacturing (you provide the design) and full custom design services (we engineer to your specifications). All switchboards are manufactured to UL 891 or UL 1558 standards.

Custom Switchboard Manufacturing Process
Engineering & Design
Our team reviews your requirements, creates detailed drawings, performs SCCR calculations and prepares the complete submittal package for your approval.
Sheet Metal Fabrication
In-house CNC punching, bending and welding. Enclosures are fabricated from 14-gauge (minimum) steel per UL 891 requirements. NEMA 1 (indoor) or NEMA 3R (outdoor) construction.
Bus & Component Assembly
Copper bus is sized per UL 891 requirements. Components are mounted per UL-recognized configurations. Wiring follows approved wiring diagrams.
Factory Acceptance Test
Full FAT per UL 891: insulation resistance, contact resistance, bus resistance, mechanical operation, protective relay testing and control circuit functional testing.
Documentation & Shipping
Final as-built drawings, test reports, UL labels and shipping documents. Ocean freight or project-specific logistics to US and Canadian job sites.
